MONA is proud to host an installation by Dani Bonnet freely viewable from our Pasaeo windows. Two neon works hang in the window which is decorated with streamers, balloons, and pendants. The spray painted words “our choice will remain” hover over a neon open sign that is flanked by two high-heeled legs. To the left is another neon work, revealed through the parting of metallic pink streamers. The crossed legs have a mass produced sign posted on top of them that reads “Sorry we’re closed”. The installation celebrates women’s ability to make choices for themselves and the ways that they have found bodily autonomy despite societal barriers throughout history.
